Manic Street Preachers have announced details of a new UK tour to coincide with the release of their forthcoming new album.

The group's 10th studio album, 'Postcards From A Young Man', is out in September. A UK tour starts in Glasgow on September 29.

Frontman James Dean Bradfield said that the album would be an unashamedly pop-orientated affair following 2009's bleak 'Journal For Plague Lovers'.

"We're going for big radio hits on this one," he told NME. "It isn't a follow-up to 'Journal For Plague Lovers'. It's one last shot at mass communication."

So, they're going back to being shit, then?

Send Away The Tigers & Journal for Plague Lovers were SO much better than anything they'd done since Richie went.

I like all of it. But that's just me. I wish they would come to New Zealand. Or even Australia. I'd fly over.

I've been to the Engine Shed in Lincoln. It's not a Manics worthy venue.

i wish i could see them live. why the fuck aren't they ever playing outside of the uk? i mean every unkown irrelevant band comes over here. i guess there'd be quite a lot people interested to see them in mainland europe.

I know a group of girls from Finland who come over for every Manics tour.

I've seen them on every tour they've done since 2002 but I'm going to have to give this one a miss due to being in France. Sad face.

Is one of them a non-flyer or something? Stop being so precious, rock stars. Your disco needs you.

They're going straight from the UK to Aus/Japan on this tour.

    This is embarrassing? I haven't missed a tour since 2002 :(
  15. Desiderata

    Desiderata have trigger, will travel

They're only making one appearance in Dublin as part of the Guinness gig thing and I missed out on tickets, which were only 10 euro. Bad times.

Amity Re:Rep Yep, I'm moving to North Wales, Wrexham to be precise.

I like Southampton Guild hall, hopefully I will get tickets for that one. DON'T go to Bournemouth O2 academy, it's not in Bournemouth, it's in Boscombe and I nearly got raped by crack addicts and black men with knives.

I really enjoyed the last album and saw the last tour, it was really worth going too. Journal for Plague lovers is under rated.
